Dear reporters: We need you

I raise my glass to the ink-stained wretches. The kids and the curmudgeons who get up every day and tell us what we need to know. Who get crazy-ass letters written in crayon, who get paid in pennies. Who take the barbs and the hateful comments. And still get up every day and tell the stories of our communities and do their jobs because they are called to do it.

Thank you.

Today is a tough day. But we need you. Keep doing what you do.
